  1. I too got my period right away. It sucked and it was heavier than before. Even though I breastfed, I still got it pretty bad... Make sure you talk to your doctor though if you feel like something is not right. They will be able to reassure you.

  2. After my first baby, it was heavier than usual.  After my second, third, and fourth, it was pretty normal.  It just depends.  Your body could still be cleaning itself out.

And the doctor CAN do your six week check if your period is light.  They rather wait, though because the blood can make it hard to get accurate Pap results.  In my area, they have you call and reschedule if you're on your period.

  3. it does get heavy but then it should start to taper off call and ask your doctor these questions

  4. depends on how long it has been since you gave birth some women bleed longer than the "six weeks" theory. sometimes the body just wants to clean you out as much as possible. you have technically had all this fluid and blood for nine long months.... And yes, the Dr can check you vaginally as long as your flow isn't extremely heavy when you return for your six week checkup.
