Havingotascoobydo disappoints team due to his inability to compete at Cheltenham
Havingotascoobydo has been ruled out of Cheltenham Festival. This is mainly because he has damaged some muscles in his back while practice.
Havingotascoobydo, the 7-year-old gelding, has been performing impressively.
On 1st January, 2012, Havingotascoobydo competed in the Grade 3 Bet With Your Mobile At Victor Chandler Chase Handicap, at Cheltenham. He could not complete the race as he fell.
He was the race favourite in that race but could not do justice to that status. He was chasing the leaders and was in 3rd place when he took the stumble in the rear.
He acquired the injury in his last race, on 7th January, 2012, in the 32red Handicap Hurdle, which has held at Sandown.
The gelding was making his way to the finish as he was chasing Ciceron over hurdles.
His trainer, Martin Keighley confirmed his injury and stated that the horse will not be making a return any time soon. "Havingotascoobydo damaged some back muscles schooling and won't be back in time for Cheltenham so we've decided to finish him for the
season.”
He states that the horse had a great chance of winning and his team and connections are disappointed.
