Question:

Hayabusa with 1390 big bore kit won't start after short ride?

I had my hayabusa bored out to 1390. After a short ride I'll shut it off then try to start it but it won't start. It's as if the battery does not have enough amps to turn over the engine. I replaced the battery with a new one, but the same problem continues. Any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

  1. The best advice i can give you is.....Please read forum choices before you post.

    This is "Motorcycle Racing".

You would get a better response in "Cars & Transportation"> "Motorcycles"

  2. I'm not sure but Maybe the increased displacement is too much for the starter to turn?? Just a guess though

  3. You  could be running it too hard before the break in period is over?Or the clearance between the piston and cylinder wall could be too small causing it to seize. For example; if it wasn't fitted properly when it was bored out by the shop.Or it could be a coincidental charging system failure;maybe it isn't charging properly and is running off of the battery temporarily.More than likely a seizure. As the engine temp increases, the piston expands in the cylinder decreasing the clearance causing it to seize in the cylinder.

  4. The battery should turn it to start, if it doesn't start now with new battery, get ecu box checked out, if not it could be valves not working with displacement properly.
