Hayley Turner a professional jockey, who dazzles after every successful performance
A 28-year-old renowned English jockey Hayley turner was born on the 3rd of January 1983, she is famous for her numerous victories, title winnings and other achievements in her career.
This professional jockey has sustained her successful career since the first time she had her first public performance in Southwell on the 27th of March, 2000. The amazing female jockey also known as the pin-up girl of United Kingdom’s horseracing
achieved her first victory on the 4th of June 2000 at Pontefract.
Haley very soon became familiar in media campaigns as she started gaining wins in prestigious events. This sensible and tough rider grew up in Nottinghamshire, although she has been suffering from Coeliac Disease but this stress has never let her down.
On the 16th of November, 2008 in Lando-Trophy which was held in Germany Hayley rode Lady Deauville her very first Group winner.
Turner is renowned as Newmarket based jockey due to the fact that her team with trainer Michael Bell has been successful in Derby races. She signed her legal document back in 2005, with Michael Bell and won the Champion Apprentice title. In the same year
she had 44 victories with Saleem Golam as a joint Champion Apprentice.
In 2008 Hayley was voted as a Racing Personality for Channel 4, this was a major proof of the young jockey stepping one step forward on the road of success each time she entered into the race course.
In the Handicaps held at Ascot and Chester back in 2008 raised Hayley’s level of achievement, when Furnace and The Betchworth Kid gave a hit under her.
In 2009, Newmarket gallops while putting a horse through the starting stall Hayley got herself injured, due to this accident she was not able to race for one whole year but she gave few guest appearances on Channel 4 Racing. She was permitted by the doctor
to continue in the mid of summers, she ended that year with 60 victories.
The flat racing year 2010 Hayley grabbed the spotlight by being victorious in Nassau Stakes Group 1 held at Glorious Goodwood and Lancashire Oaks Group 2 held at Haydok, mounted on Barshiba.
In the same year she and the two-year-old Margot Did prove their partnership by winning the group 2 races and Group 3’s.
No other female English jockey has been lucky enough to achieve this rate of success and fame as Hayley has.
Kirsty Milczarek and Cathy Gannon are the only ones among the other female jockey who are close to the level of Hayley’s achievement.
Throughout Haley’s career there hasn’t been a year which has ended without adding any level of achievement.
In 2008 she was among those five jockeys who have participated in 900 races in United Kingdom.
In 2011, Hayley had her first race at the Meydan in Dubai. She might achieve her target of having 100 victories at the end of this year.
Recently in the current year she was the winner of Group 1 July Cup 2011 under the famous horse, Dream Ahead, who has been declared as retired. This victory has given a new recognition to Hayley as the first ever woman to win the Group 1 race.
Since the year 2000 till July 2011 she has a total of 499 victories which include 27 victories in the Apprentice Championship during Turf season.
Hayley Turner is ready for challenges lying ahead of her in the upcoming years, she has always been successful in maintaing her reputation and status.
