Hazy Manila. Is this fog or pollution?

I am now visiting Manila after a long period overseas. I am bothered by the fact that the weather forecast says "haze" most of the time. The thick haze starts to be visible at sunrise and persists till midday. Is this bad pollution or just a natural phenomenon?

Pollution, so many cars and tricycles.

That is most likely a form of pollution if it has such persistency. Also, keep in mind the fact that there is a large population and a very high population density. That is most certainly a major component of pollution production.

A very high rate  pollution is in the air. Just look at the population of Metro Manila.
