Hd 4850 not compatible with my specs in vista?!! help pls!!?

my specs:

powercolor hd 4850

emaxx p35 chipset pro

(2x) 2 gig. ddr2 800 duall channel memory

intel core 2 quad Q9300

AOC m19w531 19" lcd monitor

my video card works perfectly with windows 64 bit or 32 bit, but in Vista after I installed the driver after restarting my computer after the windows logo loading my screen shutsdown..

yes i have the latest net framework wich is needed for the catalyst and

the latest driver for vista, i also tried the default driver from the cd wich comes from the package, just same thing happens.

Make sure your card isn't overheating.  My 4870 was overheating and locking up alot before I was able to get in a fan speed control.  Most people are having to run at least 80% fan speed.  I am using x64bit vista premium as well.
