Hd television?

Question

if you have a ps3 and an hd capable tv, do you have to have your tv channels in hd? Like, lets say you only want your ps3 in hd, but you can live without your tv channels in hd. do you have to have an hd service provider for tv channels in order to make you ps3 hd?or, can you simply hook up your ps3 to an hdmi slot?thanks!

Your PS3 can just hook up with the HDMI to ur TV and you will be set to play in full HD. It has nothng to do with your programming or channels. The PS3 is its own source of games and movies.
