I'm posting this in women's studies because I want a more intelligent response than where I first thought of posting it.

I had a date with a guy set for yesterday (Tuesday). I was all ready to go with my makeup, dressed up, everything when he IMd me to tell me he was still at work finishing some stuff up that his boss wanted him to complete before he went to visit his parents today (Wednesday). I told him that cancelling out on our first date looks really, really, bad and that I was all ready to go out the door to meet him.

Someone suggested that I not see him again because he has set a precedent for the relationship to come and this behaviour just might be indicative of what is in store for me.

However, I should add that he called me the night before (Monday) when his game was cancelled wanting to go out. I declined because it was too short notice and because we had a date the next night.

To all those intelligent women (and men) out there, should I give him another chance or not

  1. Here's what I think.  He met someone who he's kind of interested in, and who is only available on the Tuesday, that's he's already booked with you.  He makes the date with the other girl and then calls you on the Monday (the cancelled game thing) thinking that's how he'll get around it.  Of course, you can't go out on the Monday.  Frankly he's more interested in the other chick so he cancels you to go out with her.

It's all game baby.  Don't bother.
