He doesnt want to give me his number......yet.?

Question

I met a guy online and we started talking. He seemed really nice and then later the next day I sent him a message saying that he seemed like a really nice guy so i gave him my number and said feel free to call or text. ttyl :)

He sent a message back saying i dont want to give you my number yetttttt. We can talk on aim, i should be on tonight.

Never got that before from a guy. Why would he say that? Just curious.

he may have gotten burned by a crazie that he gave his number to before you and he just wants to take time to chat with you some more to get a feel for what kind of person you are, before he gives  you his phone number.
