  1. The Question should be asked... is his Islaam valid?

Chapter 15: The Ruling Regarding someone who abandons the prayer intentionally

    Aboo 'Uthmaan Ismaa'eel Ibn 'AbdurRahmaan As-Saaboonee (D. 449H)

104 The People of Hadeeth differ in their opinions about a Muslim who abandons the prayer intentionally. Imaam Ahmad and a group of scholars from the Salaf (1) say that he has become an unbeliever and they place him outside the fold of Islaam, due to what is authentically reported from the Prophet (sallaallaahu alaihi wa salam), who said,

"Between a slave and Shirk is the abandoning of the Prayer. For one who has abandoned it, as committed Kufr." (2)

105 Ash-Shaafi'ee and his companions, as well as a group from the scholars of the Salaf, said that:

"One does not become an unbeliever so long as he believes that it is obligatory but he is killed just as the apostate is killed."

They interpret the hadeeth to mean: Whoever abandons the prayer by denying it, just as when Allaah, The One free from all deficiencies, informs us about Yoosuf (Alaihis Salaam):

"Indeed I have abandoned a religion of the people, as they do not believe in Allaah and they are disbelievers in the Hereafter." (3)

He was never involved in the disbelief of the people. However, he abandoned them by denying them. (4)

    Footnotes (Shaykh 'Alee Hasan al-Halaby):

    (1) Amongst them, Ishaaq ibn Raahawaih, Ibn al-Mubaarak, Ibraheem an-Nakhaa'ee, al-Haakim ibn 'Uyaynah, Ayyoob ibn as-Sakhtayaanee, Aboo Bakr ibn Abee Shaybah, and Aboo Khaithamah Zuhair ibn Harb. From amongst the Companions 'Umar ibn al-Khattaab, Mu'aadh ibn Jabal, Ibn Mas'ood, Ibn 'Abbaas, Jaabir and Aboo Dardaa.

    (2) This Hadeeth has come in various forms, the most authentic being:

"Between a man and Shirk and Kufr is abandoning the prayer."

Related by Muslim (1:88), at-Tirmidhee (2764-67), Aboo Dawood (4678) and Ibn Maajah (1078).

    (3) Soorah Yoosuf: 12: 37

    (4) See Ibnul Qayyim's book As-Salaat wa Hukm aarikuhaa for further details.

  2. I don't see any scope for current fast(good deed) being void, just bcoz u r gonna commit a sin later..

  3. tese

  4. May Allah guide him for all him deeds!

At least don't stop him from doing it in ramadan !!!

  5. The good he earns during that time is valid while the sin he earns for the rest of the year also stands unless Allah wants to forgive him, and Allah is verily Merciful.

Here is my breakdown of Muslims in our society today who grow beards and pray and fast only when:

Twice a year Muslims - Muslim only on Eid

Once a month Muslims - Muslim only in Ramadan

Once a week Muslim - Muslim only on Friday

  6. Allah better knows then people

    but its not good

  7. Let God judge!

  8. it is up to Allah to decide that .. but i think not

    but Allah knows best !

  9. There is a healthy body and other can be a sick one.

Healthy body's all systems function properly, it has its own benefits.

Sick body compromises in certain systems and bears its losses.

Now how healthy our Eman is, the result would be better accordingly.

Allah swt. says He will not let be wasted any single good deed of any one, even equal to an atom.

    (Allah swt. knows the best).

  10. Yes, his fast is valid because he will be rewarded for his good deeds, but he will be punished for not praying the rest of the days~!

  11. Allah watching everything...... he is the best judje

  12. Most ppl do that. Before Ramadan they might not pray 5x a day but only The Friday Prayer in the Mosque. ppl probably pray in Ramadan because it's a Holy month and then go back to the same routine.

    I

m not sure but I think it is accepted only and only they pray with full faith and you really mean it.... Allah is the Judge!

  13. Well thats More my Kinda style LOL!

Anyways Its Allah who will approve the fast ! so no one can Judge !

Its doesnt Mean a person who Prays 5 time a day is The Most Pious In the Eyes of Allah !

I remember once Hadees saying that a Pious Women who used to pray 5 times a day was Thrown Into h**l just for treating her cat badly !

    So ONly Allah Knows !

  14. its the intent that is in his heart.. If he truly believes during Ramadan and has every intent to be a good muslim.. why not wouldnt it be accepted..

thats like saying.. If I pray on Monday, but not on Tuesday,, will my Monday prayed not be accepted cause I didnt pray on Tuesday?...

Only Allah knows whats in our hearts and souls.. and if our intent is there.. We cannot judge.. At least the person tried and did manage a successful Ramadan...
