What do you guys think of this:

Striker II Formula motherboard

Intel Q9550

9800 gtx plus

4gb Apacer ram

W.D 500gb sata hdd

22" LG lcd screen

why wait, i have something similar NOW, actually better go for 8GB and do SLI, and pickup two of those hard drives so you can do a raid.

Since you seem to have some money, you might consider adding the new WD velociraptor 300 GB (or 2 in RAID 0) as a primary, then the 500 GB one for storage. Don't forget a discrete sound card either, if you have space for it. Xfi Fatal1ty is a good choice.

The Q9550 is a lovely processor, but I'd save some money, get the Q9450 (as you will most likely overclock anyway), and spend the saved money on 8GB of RAM, rather than the planned 4GB. Make sure you install a 64 bit Operating system too!

And ditch the mechanical hard disk idea as a boot drive, and go with SSD. I did, and its wonderful. http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/fl...

Other than that, all seems well.
