He likes me but I don't and we work together?

ok, so a guy at work likes me a lot and he wants us to be engaged or something. He didn't say anything I just knew from his best friend at work.

I'm not attracted to him at all. He's just like a brother to me.

And besides the problem is that we are at the same work place and I think he might get jealous if he saw me working with my boss (since me and my boss work together all the time and we stay late till we finish out work). I'm really not into his character and also he's not the same level as me and he lives in a place that is not that good. I'm not really attracted to him and he really doesn't know me at all, he probably heard of me from his best friend.

I wanna say know but I don't wanna embarrass him.

where do you work, a preschool?  He didn't say anything but you're worried about saying "know" to him, and think he wants to  be engaged or something...this question doesn't deserve answering.

Just tell your fellow co-worker plain and simple that hes a really nice guy but you don't want to commit to a relationship with him. The more you wait to tell him, the more he will be disappointed. If he really likes you that much he will understand.
