The guy I'm dating, upon ejaculation, has ejaculation fluid that is without scent and water-like in nature. He has a low sperm count; could that be the cause for the way his sperm looks?

I ask because we have had unprotected s*x twice tonight but he pulled out before he ejaculated. He only lasted for a few minutes per round. However, some of his ejaculate fluid landed on the outside of my v****a.

Please, spare me your lecture about how I shouldn't be having unprotected s*x. I'm 20-years-old and this is the first time I have ever had s*x without a condom. This guy said, [and I quote]: "My junk doesn't work. I have a really, really low sperm count."

Also, his p***s does not produce any pre-ejaculate fluid.

Is there a medical term for what I have described? I realize that masturbation could play a key role in the appearance of his ejaculate but he said he doesn't m********e very often. Now, I know he could be lying but let's assume he's telling the truth without fully believing

him.

  1. I will not lecture you on unprotected s*x but I tell you that the "pull out" method is not a good way to avoid pregnancy.

Male ejaculate takes on appearance and odor due to many factors.  This could be from his respective health to what he has eaten or drank.  Because s***n is expelled from the same opening as urine, male ejaculate can take on the odor from residual urine.

The white color in ejaculate is made up of millions of sperm that are present in the s***n.  Pre-ejaculate is a viscuous fluid that is produced in the bulbourethral gland or Cowper's gland.  The function of pre-ejaculate (Cowper's fluid) is to lubricate the urethra for spermatazoa to pass through and to neutralize residual urine remaining in the urethra.  Pre-ejaculate is not always expelled prior to ejaculation but may remain in the urethra until climax.

His sperm count could account for the lack of odor and water-like consistency.  Has he had a sperm count?  What are the numbers?  This is really the only way to tell if he truly has low sperm count.  Frequent ejaculation (masturbation, intercourse, etc) does not always change the odor or consistency of ejaculate but rather changes the quantity or volume.

    I hope this helps.
