Forcing someone to do do something ( like eat broccoli)  or to  agree with what they are told to think( hip hop is not as cool as classical music)does not change their mind about how they truly feel about the thing they are forced to do or think. For instance, they still hate  broccoli or love hip hop, even if they can't admit to it. If you want to create a change of mind you must use persuasion to bring about agreement rather than force.
