Question

ok i'm about to start highschool. and i still can't figure oout how to study effectively! (i'm not a terrible student actually i am above average but i know if i knew how to study i could do evan better!) my parents bought me a book but is sooooo... long and boring. to finish it before i go back to school i would have to spend about 3 hours a day reading it! so does anyone know of some free websites that teach you how to study??? if so leave links!

also it would be great if the website had u play games or was something fun so it's not just reading and readinG!

Those are some sites  that will give you some quizzes, info and games that will cover some of the stuff you'll learn in high school.  Don't let the age ranges on fact monster fool you- those quizzes are difficult!

Something that might help you is figuring out what your learning style is.  This will help you learn how to gear your studying towards what learning style works best for you.  You seem like you will probably be a kinesthetic learner, so some helpful hints would be to: break your studying down into short increments.  Study, take a break, study, take a break, study, and take a break.  This will help you keep focused instead of studying for the long haul.  To keep yourself moving, you could cut up the material that you need to study and post it in different areas of your home that you know you would look at.  This way you are constantly exposing yourself to different concepts while still being able to move around.  There are many things you can do, just try to be creative!
