Head For Fame to rock the party in Dobbins @ Shelbourne A1 525
Head For Fame is set to enjoy plenty of fame, as he gets ready for a classy act in the Dobbins @ Shelbourne A1 525, being held at Shelbourne Park on Wednesday, July 4th. The €400 meeting has attracted many big names, but T. Bolton’s charge looks
to be the most intriguing contestant.
The black dog has been performing brilliantly over the past few weeks. He stepped up to this class following an excellent A2 victory over Walk On Fire last month. He went through an unlucky spell, before he unchained the shackles at the end of last month.
The Grade GR meeting saw him dominating the proceedings from pillar to post. Although there were many dangerous runners in the line-up, Head Bound’s son faced no difficulty in crushing them all. Following an excellent effort, the dashing hound seized the
top rank by two and a half lengths.
The memories of the last month’s three unlucky rides are still fresh, nonetheless, the hound is expected to come up with an improved effort this time. Among his rivals are: Winetavern Ringo, Neon Charlie, Lotus Lee, Moneyhill Minx and Strides Beauty.
Winetavern Ringo registered five consecutive triumphs ahead of his last two below par efforts. After finishing fifth behind Donanes Facebook at Harold’s Cross, the black dog raised his game significantly to ensure the runner-up place last time around. A
decent performance would have boosted up his confidence and therefore, he can be declared a major player in today’s race.
Neon Charlie is coming into this contest after an outstanding victory. But, since he does not have a good record at this level, it will be hard for the punters to support him.
Out of others, no one is likely to spring up a surprise. Lotus Lee was awful in his previous trip over 525 yards. Moneyhill Minx is in poor form these days, whereas Strides Beauty has not yet proved her mettle at this level.
Winetavern Ringo and Head For Fame look to the strongest runners. The latter is slightly more consistent and gets our vote. Good luck to all the runners.
