Question:

Head Injury while playing paintball

Yesterday I was with a group of friends and went paintballing.

It was the first game and I was shot in the head, right above my mask. On the left side of my head, about 2 inches above my temple in the hairline. I have a welt and I can feel it is tender and sore.

I didn't think anything of it until I woke up this morning feeling all loopy and wierd. I have a headache in my entire head but moreso on the left side where I was hit.

The paintball didn't explode when it hit my head.

Do I have a concussion? What else could it possibly be? Anyone else ever have this happen?

I'm going to the doctor but not til 5pm after I get off work

  1. you poor thing you, bet is just bruising and tension headache.  Take 2paracetamol and best to get it checked out as you have arranged.  I have heard that it is really sore to get hit with it and on the head also would be really sore.  Hope you be ok and relax tonight.

  2. concusions usually cause nausea but It sounds likely that you have a minor one good luck at the doctors

  3. Your fine. You have a bruise. Take some Tylenol/ Advil and put some ice on it.

  4. I paintball and I've been hit in the temple, Adam's apple, and a lot of other painful places. I've never been seriously hurt though.

I doubt you have a concussion, but you should go to the doctor anyway, even if it is only to ease your mind.

  5. I have been painballing as well and have been hit some places that made welts and have hert very much the next day , but i have been not hit very close to the temple. I think it is a very smart to go see a doctor because you might of hert your self badly by the temple and you might of had a concussion as well.

  6. You mostly just have a really bad headache from the amount of pain from the paintball hitting your head. Normally whenever you get hit by a paintball it leaves a welt which would be why you have one on the side of your head. Its very unlikely that you do have a  Concussion but its good that you are still going to the Doctor anyways.

  7. You DON"T have a concussion. Don't waste yours and the Doctor's time.

  8. check your eyes to see if you have concusion, but i doubt you do, iv taken hundereds of headshots in my time and its never been serious
