Head Iton Hayesy storms to victory in the Swindon Monkey Final

Head Iton Hayesy stormed to victory in the final of the Swindon Monkey 509 metres Open Race on Wednesday, January 25, 2012. He was the favourite to win, and lived up to his reputation in the end. The cash prize for the winning greyhound was £500.
The S. Race trained dog has been in terrific form recently, and there seems to be no match for his speed and stamina. He displayed supreme form at Swindon, leading the race from the start until the end.
Head Iton Hayesy completed the race distance in 29.77 seconds, after breaking in trap number one. He had a starting price of 1 to 2, and the bettors would have earned some easy money over his victory.
The triumphant dog is the son of Westmead Hawk out of Windgap Aero, and was born in October, 2009.
World Charm, trained by M. Walsh, ended in a distant second place, after popping out from trap number two. He had a starting price of 5 to 1, and completed the total distance in 30.41 seconds.
The second placed dog did not get off to a good start, but made up for it in the middle segment of the race. He was unable to pose any challenge to the race winner, and ended up being the runner up.
World Charm is the son of World Class out of Barbies Bluebird, and was born in March, 2008.
Further down the order, Forest Ted completed the race in third place, after entering from trap number three. He had a clear run, but ran out of gas as the race progressed. He completed the total distance in 30.59 seconds and had a starting price of
8 to 1.
The K. Hutton trained greyhound is the son of Royal Impact-Forest Kim, and was born in February, 2009.
Fourth place went to Glenside Pearl, trained by R. Jones. She did start well, but was unable continue her good run. Her race completion time was 30.77 seconds.
Glenside Pearl is the daughter of Ningbo Jack out of Pearletta, and was born in October, 2008.
Holdem Angel and Titainium King completed the order of finish, completing the race in fifth and sixth places, respectively. They were the least favourite to make an impression and did not spring up any surprises.
There were no big surprises in this race, as the favourite greyhounds managed to take the top three spots easily.
