  1. Feel free to take it off.  You might want to wait until you break the strings or get it restrung so you can take it off easier.  Those dampeners have to be strung onto the racquet.  It's nice because they won't fall off, but sometimes they don't seem to work too well.

That being said, there's nothing wrong with just buying a different dampener and using that, too.  Or at least just until you can remove the other one.  It's not illegal to have two on in that configuration.  I would actually strongly suggest that you just add another one, if the throat dampener really is attached to the racquet.  I would leave it on since it's not as easy as taking it off when it gets restrung.

  2. I'd really like to have a feel at one of those latest racquets.  I just look at them on display, way too expensive here in my country. I'm using my old reliable Mizuno carbon fiber.

  3. Head Liquidmetal 4 racquets actually come with two shock dampening system: the Integrated String Dampening (ISD) and NoShox handle. if you mean to remove the ISD, it is possible. after all, everyone may customize her own racquet. be advised that the ISD is attached to the bottom head frame. be careful not to nick the frame if you use sharp-edged tools when removing the ISD from the racquet frame. i'd suggest you remove the strings first, then just cut the ISD from the frame. being careful enough will prevent you from destroying the racquet frame. hope this helps :)

oh, btw there's no way to remove the NoShox, otherwise you will need to remove the grip/handle completely at some customization shop and replace it with a new grip/handle.

  4. It's part of the Head Liquid Metal 4 shock absorption technology why would you want to mess with it? Just buy a different Head racquet. Lord knows there are enough out there.  If you don't need the dampening as much as someone who suffers from tennis elbow or shoulder issues then just sell it and buy a different Head Liquid Metal frame like the Radical or Instinct off eBay. I have one and use it when my TE flairs up. I might be interested in having a pair. What size grip is it, what shape is it in and how much do you want for it?
