  1. yes mostly know for skis but decont boards mostly used in all mtn. though

  2. My friend just got that brand and yes they arent excellent. They aren't well known, because they mainly make starter boards. They are ok though if you only go snowboarding once or twice a year, if you go a lot, then I recommend telling him to be prepared to get a better board.

  3. head snowboards suck they have bad shape and horrible pop i would reccomend a ride or a option i think there sic

  4. Ive never ridden a head board but they do have a pro and amateur team and sponsor good riders so there boards will be good enough. A good way of checking if a brand is legit is to check if they have a team as no buget brand ever sponsor riders. Good luck with the riding.

  5. not for the you, i would assume, if you are like me and live off the terrain park.  grinding it out with a Head board -not so good.  neither is landing a jump because the polyboard they use does not absorb the shock and vibrations.  we only sell about 2-3 head models in my shop.  they've been sitting in the corner for a while.  keep in mind Head also makes ehem, tennis racqets.  isnt that nice.  well i would discourage you from buying a Head board, but if you are like me, i dont want to waste all my salary on a super expensive board.  if you cant afford something expensive like a Burton, i would reccomend you get a Rossignol.  i have one and it was only 229.   if you dont hit rails, you might be good with a Head, but it probly wont last too long and i have had some complaints that it doesnt hot wax good.  i will leave it up to your judgement.  good luck shopping!

  6. There decent boards but nothing too good. They dont compare at all with Burton or Forum etc.

  7. I think these are just medium quality boards at best - there are a lot of better boards (Ride, K2, Burton, Rome, Gnu, etc) that you can get on clearance this time of year and not pay much more than a medium quality board.

Head is a ski maker for at least 20 years, so I'm sure they know about construction techniques and use quality materials, but I would still look at boards made by companies that have been doing snowboards for years.

    Good Luck
