Head gasket and thermostat on a 02 Chevy Malibu?

I live in Maryland, how much would this work usually cost? And would it be any cheaper and/or worth it to use the old head gaskets and have them refurbished?

you can,t reuse a head gasket after it,s been taken off. it,s not like a thermostat gasket. a thermostat gasket you can use over if it don,t tear, but not a head gasket.if the head gasket is leaking, you better get a new gasket, i perfer fel-pro gaskets, and take the head and have it checked for straightness.

cant use old gasket if thats the problem its busted is why one replaces it.... new thermostat new gasket always best and the first thing to do when a car runs hot anytime... head gasket shoul dbe left alone if its not bad... if its bad you will have water in oil or oil in water and most of the time the car will smoke like a old train.... you refurbished the heads when your replacing the head gasket so that you know if they are crack or warped knowing which it needs thermostat and agsket cheap and can be done at home for like 20 bucks.... head gaskets about 500 bucks maybe and you need a shop... knowing which you need or both .... if it just ran hot get a thermostat replace if its got oil in the water or water in oil or its smoking like a old train replace head gaskets  and thermostat.. best way to know price is by calling a few shops and asking ... thermostat cheap fix .. if the car gets hot in a few minutes of running thats a good bet of what it is.. ask about that first... if you need a head gasket they will let you know... you can check for the signs and know if you need one or the other
