Head unit cd player works but no sound when in radio mode?

Question

I have a Sony Xplod AM/FM/CD head unit. It will play cd's just fine but there is no sound in radio mode and when you press seek it doesnt find any stations. Stereo reception was fuzzy for the last month but now there is no sound at all. I checked both the antennae connections (hood and back of head unit) and it is fully connected.

My guess would be that the tuner is shot then.
