Headache, ear-ache, and numb arm after meningitis and tetanus vaccinations? please help?

yesterday, i received a meningococcal meningitis and tetanus vaccination. today, i have a headache, ear-ache, and my arms are numb. what's going on here? is this normal?

  1. Yes this is normal. The vaccinations you were given contain a small amount of inactivated pathogens. Your body is mounting an immune response to them, just like having a mini-infection.  You will feel a bit run down for the next few days until you become fully immune. You usually will experience flu-like, non-specific symptoms as mentioned after any vaccination. The numb arm is just from the injection and will also pass. Don't worry.  


  2. zini is correct about this.  It's nothing to worry about.  

    Tetanus shots are a *****, it always makes my arms feel so heavy that I feel it's just going to fall off, but it will get better in a few days.
