Hi. I'm a 27 y/o female. I have had a persistent headache for 3 days now. It started one afternoon after reading outside. It is a sharp and aching pain on the left-top of my head. I find it hurts when I press my left eye, but my eye feels no pain if I'm not pressing it.
I have no other symptoms. I sleep fine. Appetite is normal. I've had no head trauma. I've never had a problem with my sinuses. I haven't started any new meds or changed my diet. I'm not PMSing. I only drink 1 cup of tea/day. I've never had a migraine but I don't think this is one because I don't have sensitivity to light or nausea.
The worst part is NOTHING has worked to relieve it. I've tried Aspirin, Tylenol, Advil, Excedrin, coffee, massage, acupressure, food, sugar, and sleep.
I spent all day yesterday drinking water thinking it could be dehydration, but this also did not work. I mentioned drinking tea just so you'd know I don't overdue the caffeine thing.
I made an appointment with a doctor for later this afternoon. I can't say I'm not worried at this point. Has anyone ever heard of this before?
Does anyone know what could be causing this and/or how to relieve it? Thanks in advance and let me know if you need more info.
