I have suffered from horribly bad headaches since childhood. My parents took me to a lot of doctors, and none could ever find anything. They would tell me that I needed glasses, that it was my diet, or just sensitive a sinus!
My eyesite isn't that bad, accordint to the DMV I do not need them to drive. I am near sighted in one eye and far sighted in the other (Cool huh?) but even so I usually wear glasses. I've noticed I get headaches whether wearing them or not.
I've tried to avoid the common triggers for headaches, but still...
The sinus thing may have something to do with it. I have fairly frequent bloody noses. (once a month) always have - my poor mum & dad though I had a brain tumour at the age of 7! Also my mother did have a surgery for her sinus.
I'm not sure what type of headache I suffer from either. The pain is always focused on the front of my head usually around the eyes. It will start as a twinge, progress to dull, and then to excrutiating. It's gotten so bad that I can't get up from a laying position because the movement of my head causes such a sharp pain. I have light sensitivity and i do see spots (similar to those of you look at a light too long)
It is getting ridiculous. I work as a manger at a small store - if I get a headache at work, I can't go home sick unless I find shift coverage (almost impossible!) if I have another person there with me - I go into the office and turn the light off. But what am I going to do if I'm at the store alone??? I cannot function like this! I want to go see a doctor, a specialist. What kind of doctor do I need to go to? So many of the ones I have already gone to just dismiss it...
