Question:

Headlamp not working in 98 Olds Intrigue

The passenger-side headlight quit working in my Intrigue. I replaced the bulb, but (suprise suprise), it still doesn't light up. I have tried to examine the plug-in connection from the entire headlight housing/assembly to the wiring coming off the vehicle, but nothing looks broken or dirty, etc. Is there anything else a non-mechanic, do-it-yourselfer like me can do about the problem? I need it fixed asap since I got pulled over by the police last night, and I'm sure they will ticket me if it happens again!

  1. I was gonna say that you had a bad fuse somewhere but then prolly both headlights would be out. you might also check to see that you are using that right replacement bulb. If not that i would say that you're not getting juice to that light and there must be a shortage somewhere.

  2. Each headlight has it's own fuse.  Look in the fuse box under the hood for HL left or HL right. Some say Low and High beam. You have a bad fuse. Good Luck    TW

  3. Check for power at the light socket useing a test light and to ground .If you have power their you have a bad ground .If you have no power, you have a open circuit in the hot wire feeding that socket or it is a bad light socket.
