  1. I live in Los Angeles and see this all the time. You need to buff the lenses. There is a special buffing compound made for these plastic lenses available at auto parts stores, but I have had good luck with plain old polishing compound.

  2. try toothpaste on a rag and if that doesn't work you will need new ones.

  3. Napa stores sell the best  product for this problem and the easiest to use you put the driver in a drill (preferable cordless) and then attach the buffing pad to the driver and then add water to the pad and then buff the lenses and  all the grime on the lenses will be gone.  There are about 6 of the buffing pads with one box so you will have enough for another go around later.,

  4. Plastic lens.  You will need to use rubbing compound to remove the cloudy stuff off.  The kind that used for dull paint.  You'll have to keep on rubbing it until it is nice and clear.

  5. Unfortunately, if the outer "crystals" of the headlamps are lexan (plastic), this is one sign of age. Like humans, the sun takes its toll on the molecular construction of the lamps. The uV light causes the plastic to cloud over.

There isn't too much that will remedy the situation, but there are some products that can help a little. The problem is that the clouding is in the material itself, and not merely on the surface where it could be polished out.

The only truly effective remedy is to bight the bullet and replace them. Some lenses can be purchased separately and at a reasonable cost. Most however, must be replaced with the entire headlamp assembly, and they are not cheap.
