  1. yes u can moreover nowdays diff. colours and shades abayah r also been sold

  2. yes... I have about 15 or more different scarves of varying colors.. Black, black with gold trim, black with red trim, black with rainbow stripes in it...  White with gold/black flowers, . Red and gold flower one.. A pink one with gold in it.. A purple one with some other color (cant remember).. hmm A green one.. a solid white one.. a solid beige one, a solid brown one, a solid red one.. a black and red lace one (looks like a spanish montilla)... and a few others..

and I have 2 black abayas, one grey, one brown, one light blue, one purple(light purple).. and one white to wear to hajj...

    it doesn matter..

  3. Sure you can...I guess in Jeddah you could also wear a different colour abaya,,,,there is no law that states that the colour should be black, that is just costumary....

  4. Navy blue i suppose...

You don't have to stick to black its fine to mix it up a little. A new colour every now and then is always recommended. Just make sure your ears, neck, and your hair are completely covered.

  5. In Jeddah, the abaya doesn't have to be black. You see ladies wearing many colors of abayas and also of scarves.  In fact, around Hajj time you see ladies not wearing abayas at all, but other types of Islamic dress.

Also you sometimes see medical personnel on the street and in shops wearing hospital coats.

(Although most women do wear black.)

  6. You can wear any color you like, but I wouldn't suggest bright red or something that stands out too much.  I've seen a lot of women in the East wearing tan, white, light colors, flowery, etc.  Also, if you aren't a muslim, then there's no need to wear a scarf if you're not comfortable.  There's a lot of women, even muslims, who don't cover their hair in KSA.  The abaya should be black, but it can have colorful designs all over it.

Most Saudi women wear plain black abayas without designs.  Usually there's just a border of crystals or embroidery around the cuffs and on the scarf.

  7. yeah, you can wear any color you want.
