Question:

Healing Severely Damaged Hair?

I plan to have my hair bleached all-around today, so I can put in colors such as green and purple and pink again. I know this is very damaging to your hair, and I was wondering if there are any great ways to restore moisture and make it healthy again aside from having it trimmed afterwards.

  1. Use Redken Anti Snap leave in everytime you wash your hair.  It is a hair miracle.  It will help prevent the hair from breaking more than it already will be.

  2. before you go and get this done to your hair, wash your hair with moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, and then after you do that, immeadiatley put an intensive deep conditioning cream on your hair. make sure that you hair is fully coated, and focus more on the ends of your hair, since they tend to be the driest. leave the cream on for about 5 mins, then rinse with warm water, and then cold water. Cold water helps to seal the hair cuticle and prevent damage. it also adds shine to your hair, which is a bonus!

    hope this helps.

  3. Buy a protein treatment! It's great for damaged/distressed hair.

I used this when i had blonde hair too, well now it's red :)

  4. Don't wash it everyday, and buy good shampoo from the Health food store.
