Healing time after UCL surgery on hand?

I just had surgery on my UCL on aug 14. Im currently in a cast and am wondering what the normal healing time is for an 18 year old healthy kid. This cast is really annoying and id like my thumb back :p

Casts are normally in place for 4 -6 weeks, then you'll need to be careful for some weeks after.
