  1. I hope Connecticut turns out to be ok for you. I have a few friends in Washington Depot. It's quiet and country-like. I'm 23 with a 3 year old son, and we have state issued health insurance. The only real stipulation is that you can't make over a certain amount of money. I think for you, the closest office will be in the town of New Milford. I grew up there. You can look up any numbers to call and get information on Ct.gov

Good luck to you! Feel free to contact me if you run into any problems. I'm very familiar with the area you're moving to, so if you need directions or anything, I'd be happy to help! Take care!

  2. Health insurance in the US is mainly privately run. There are a few government agencies, but those are mostly for people below the poverty line and senior citizens. Some employers offer insurance, but the majority of them don't anymore.

  3. Stay in the UK.  Too many English coming to America and complaining about every little thing and how it isn't a prefect or as pure as the motherland.  If your not English than come have a good time.  As for healthcare company may provide it or buy it from an insurance company.
