Health -- Question about depression ?

It's strange. I have very high highs but extremely low lows. ABout a year now, I have been feeling so low and down, and for no reason I get so upset, there are certain thoughts that trigger it..

I dont know what it is but someone told me its a sign of depression, but why am I sometimes really happy and contented. I just don't understand it.

  1. First of All dont fall into the 'You are bipolar' trap. Its nearly Impossible to diagnose yourself with it. I'm also not a doctor so I cant say whether you may or may not have depression. I mean the description you have is what I put up with for the past four-ish years. Even now..I DONT know for 100% if I have depression.[ This uncertainty with me having a GP and Psychiatrist working to 'cure me] Part of me wants to deny it entirely and keep going, but the other part of me wants to take 'The Depression' and use it as my eternal excuse not to get up in the morning.

    Those are unbelievably common symptoms, even feeling happy sometimes

    I would seek help from a psychiatrist as soon as possible before it escalates

    Don't worry, the anxiety is normal, too

  6. You need to see your doctor ASAP before your symptoms get any worse. Depression is a disease and can be treated well and you can have a great life without all the anxieties you are experiencing

  7. that happens to me too, but thats not temporary..is soon over!

    just wait for it to get away....and be careful not to affect people around, keep busy in different physical activities!

    they help aot to feel mind relax and make you too tired to think too much!

    Edit:

    you can just have fruits and vegetables to make you feel better.

    Sit in the balcony or out in the fresh air to inhale deeply and exhale.....you can also recite 4 Quls doing that....(I read in a weekly)

    also you could recite the 99 Asmay Husna...

    try to be out in fresh air as much as possible!
