  1. Any health topic can relate to anthropology. The trick is not to focus on the biology but on the social causes/factors/outcomes.

What are the social/human reasons why bulimia may be connected with ADHD?

WHat are the social factors behind bulimia (you should have a slew of answers for this)?  or behind ADHD (again, it maybe speculation, but you may find several surprising social factors that contribute to ADHD)

What could be the cause of these things? (not biological causes)

    what are contributing factors?

what social factors inhibit treatment of these?

    ETC ETC

Goodluck.....focus on people and holistic approaches, not the biology of it

  2. I agree with Kerri-Ann about the appropriateness of the topic, but I do not agree that you should not, at least, address the biological aspects of the problem.  ADHD is more of a set of symptoms than a disease, most of the time, and the same is true, though less so, for bulimia. However, there is a neurological problem which has been shown to correlate well with diagnostic cases of ADHD, but is rarely tested for.  Be careful about how you define ADHD.  If you stick with the neurologically diagnosed cases, you will be limited to dealing with a very small percentage of the cases diagnosed by psychologists and psychiatrists every year.  If you go with the commonplace concept of ADHD, you will have a lot more social/psychological stuff to talk about (since biology does not appear to have a great deal to do with it).

Good luck with an interesting topic.

  3. I don't know what your class is about except the general topic of the anthropology of health which could arguably relate to just about anything.
