I am pregnant lvingin in USA.I am having a primary care insurance provider who covers 90% after the deductible.Deductible is $100.Out of pocket expense/Individulal is $1100 and for family is $3300.I am thinking abt going for a secondary insurance for the remaining 10% my primary will not cover.Is it worth to go for that? also is insurance companies accepts if I say I am pregant..Is there any one aware of companies giving secondary insurance alone.Pls help

  1. You will not be able to get a new individual policy if you are currently pregnant.

    Individual insurance carriers will not issue coverage to someone as a secondary policy. If they did offer it the premium would be more expensive than your max out of pocket.


  2. Since you are already pregnant, I don't think you will find an insurance co. that will pay the remaining 10 %.This would be considered pre-exiting condition. There is usually a waiting period before it will cover something like this.However, it would be worth a secondary insurance even though it won't help you this time.
