I'm new to buying health insurance. Could you tell me what should I look for? Do you have any companies you'd reccomend?

  1. Right, it depends on where you live.  You can use ehealth to get quotes, but don't buy there.  You won't get nearly the level of service as you would dealing with a good broker.

    Depending on where you live you can try the tool on my site which is more comprehensive (and I think easier to follow) than the aforementioned site.

  3. Not sure where you're located, but Aetna fairs well financially. An example... 30 yr old adult and 2 kids can get coverage as low as $140 a month with Rx (no dental, no pregnancy)

    I looked for myself, it was about 85 a month, 30 yr old female smoker... So it could be even cheaper for you.

  4. If you are in Australia, check out I-Select website.  Compares the rates for you and takes off what you don't need.

  5. Check with a LOCAL broker and please avoid Ehealth and similar sites. You'll be glad you did.

    Re which companies are your best option, it depends where you live and the type of coverage you desire.
