Health personality or looks really fun question?

Ok pretend you are walking in to petsmart to buy your first goldfish to put in your 20 gallon tank! You decide to get an oranda (there my fave lol) ! There are three tanks that each contain 1 oranda! The first tank has a fish that is swimming around non stop it is very healthy however it isn't the cutest fish and It also doesn't come anywhere near the front of the tank. The next tank is another goldfish who also isn't the cutest and the most active either but it stays at the front of the tank and stares at you will those big cute goldfish eyes! The last one isn't the friendliest nor the healthiest but is by far the prettiest...it has flowing fins and a very big and plump wen! Which fish do you choose? I would go with the secong fish because I love fish with personality and would just have to buy the fish if it was staring at me and rescue it from life at the petstore! Which one would you pick? I want to know how most people pick their fish out!

always buy the healthiest fish. fish get stressed when moved,  the healthiest one will cope better than an already diseased or stressed fish. make sure the eyes are clear and the fins/tail are complete (any  missing parts could indicate fin rot or other diseases.

Trick answer: you don't buy any of them, but wait until you find a healthy/active, good looking, personable fish.  You should never "settle" on your choice of fish just because it's what they have at the moment.

EDIT: Fine.  I'd take the healthy, active one.  With time, you can get pretty much any fish to get used to people.

I would buy the first one. I am weird and think even the "ugliest" fish are really cute! And if it is that active I don't think it deserves to live in a pet store tank (of course, the others don't either...)

But then I'd buy a pond or a larger tank and buy the other two goldfish :3
