Health question about laxatives...can you help?

If a person takes a laxative and then eats, will the food eaten cramp up the stomach and give them diarrhea or will it digest okay?

The laxative was taken 8 hours ago.

Shouldn't be any problem, but you should take laxatives before bedtime as this will give 8 hrs for them to work on you.  Anyway the food is entering your stomach, and the laxative is working in your intestines.
