I spend a lot of time on my cordless home phone, I try to limit the amount of time I’m on my mobile but tend not to think much about the home phone. Would you say that there are health risks when spending a lot of time on a cordless home phone?

  1. defitinaly a health and safety risk, you can trip on anything when walking around.

i think nowadays they say there is a risk with anything.

do what you want to do, or you will end up living a life in cotton wool.

  2. There are still risks with exposure to the radio-waves from any non-cell phone, same sort of damage but less intense as it is with mobiles, just DNA breakdown which can lead to cancer.

  3. Very slight  risk of a brain tumor.  You have a better chance of getting hit by lightning.

  4. no there are 0 risks, as radio technology has been around for oer a hundred years, and we have head of 0 deaths due to it, works in a completle different way to mobile phone

  5. Pretty much the same deal as a mobile. You are spending time with a small radio transmitter next to your head.

  6. They don't tend to use the same microwave technology as mobiles, so I would be a lot less concerned. They have a much shorter range, so the transmitting aerial is well tucked away and not very powerful.

The only health risk I have heard of is that you can get a stroke if you cradle the phone between your shoulder and your ear too soon.... the answer to that is to buy a cordless headset!
