really wanted to go into the medical field since i was younger, but as i grow older my tolerance for blood and all the gross stuff that is associated with this proffesion has minimized. I still have a passion for helping people and would love to do so by getting a job in the medical field, plus the money is great. So can anybody give me a career in this field that i could tolerate.

  1. Psychologist is the way to go.  Help people with the problems that can't be seen but cause the most pain.  No blood, no gross fluids, only gross stories of peoples' problems.  You don't need to go to medical school, you exchange that for more years of psych classes.  You also don't get to prescribe meds.

  2. Dietitian. You mainly talk to people about what they actually eat and what they should eat.

Psychologist. No blood here, just talking about your problems.

Pharmacist. Mainly work with patients and medical staff to assist in safely administering medications.

  3. A family practice might not be a bad idea.  I don't know what the technical career title would be, but we have doctors around here that just serve as the middle man.  Your insurance company tells you to see them, and they do the check ups and appointments, and then simply refer you to the appropriate specialist if any specific health issues emerge.

  4. Pysical therapy is a good choice. The pay is not that good though. About $55000 a year to start. I can't think of any others.

  5. don't worry, there are some healthcare careers that have little to no blood.

    medical transcriptionist

child life specialist (it's like a counselor to sick kids)

  6. Medical research!  You wouldn't be working directly with patients, but you would still have the opportunity to make a big difference in people's lives.
