  1. I chose ba healthcare management and yes they both are similar...You can choose a variety of career choices and that is why I love the healthcare field so much. The pay is great too...I decided to focus more on Hospital Account Receivables because I previously had Patient Accounting reimbursement experience. Even though you have the degree, the facility would like to know what area of healthcare are you most experienced with??? I can handle all areas of billing, coding, collections, and patient access. You can be an Admitting Supervisor, Admitting Manager, Adm Director, Pt Accts Supervisor, Pt Accts Manager, or Director..Most Management positions will require ba or bs degree..You can also manage a nursing home patient information dept...Receive coding certification and you can run a HIM dept...So many options. Admitting supervisor you can obtain with the aas degree. Here in Illinois and Missouri, they make anywhere from 35, 000-50,000 year, Pt Accts Manager with ba degree can make up to 80,000, Director or Administration what ever you're worth...These are just estimates...With experience and the degree, you can really gross a nice salary...Get an accounting degree and you can be the CFO!!!!No limit to success in healthcare..Get some nursing skills and you can work in Case Management and Patient Clinical Satisfaction...I can go on, on, on and on...contact me for more info
