Healthiest Way to put ON Weight without Sugar?!?

What is the healthiest way to put on weight, without eating a load of junk food, or foods rich in sugar. I suffer from Candida overgrowth, and on the anti-candida diet, so sugar has been reduced/eliminated.

  1. You'll need to raise your caloric intake.  Specifically, you need to take in more calories than you consume-any source of calories will work: sugars, starches, fat, or protein.  Of course, you don't want to consume too much fat or you'll have high blood lipids.

    Join a health club and pay the extra money for a few sessions with a licensed trainer.  They will help you build lean body mass.  You want to gain weight, not get fat.

    You don't mention where your overgrowth is.  If it is in the GI tract, you might consider waiting for your candida to clear up before you start any big diet changes.  If the yeast is causing malabsorption of nutrients, clearing up the overgrowth might be all you need to correct your weight.
