  1. I'm a vegetarian, so I don't really know much about the meat selections at fast food restaurants, but there are a few places that I know of that have somewhat healthy food:

SUBWAY! I always get the six inch veggie sub with wheat bread. They have a lot of subs/wraps/salads that are low in fat. It's probably the healthiest fast food place you can go to.

Taco Bell has the "fresco menu" now, which has lots of low calorie and low fat selections. I love their bean burritos, and they're not too bad for you if you get them without cheese.

Wendy's has a decent side salad, and they have baked potatoes, which are healthier than french fries if you skip the butter and sour cream.

Burger King has a really good veggie burger, but I think it has more calories than the Whopper Jr. To save unneeded calories, I usualy get it without the mayo and bun and just eat the veggie patty and lettuce and tomato.

You can save a lot of calories at any fast food restaurant by ordering your food without the mayo and cheese and instead loading it up with extra lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mustard, ketchup, etc. You would be surprised by how many calories a tablespoon of mayo and a slice of processed cheese adds to your food. Skip the french fries too (or order a kids size!), and if you're still hungry get a side salad with lowfat dressing.

  2. Fix it at home

  3. There really isn't a 'healthy' fast food. Even the salads they are offering are surprisingly unhealthy. If I am desperate and have to get fast food, I get a kids meal. Smaller portions and now they have added things like milk or juice instead of soda and apple dippers instead of fries. Even if you do just get hamburger happy meal with fries and a soda, the calories are much lower than a big mac or whopper. Good luck! it's a tough world out there for dieters and healthy eaters!!

  4. The first choice is subway (either 6 inches or a foot long, both prices are reasonable, and you can add vegatables in the sandwich too).

Second choice: McDonald, however, the kid's meal and the salads are the main reason why McDonald become the second choice.

The third choice: Burger King, Wendys, .....etc.

The fast food places that you shouldn't touch: KFC (need to ask me why?), Applebees, iHOP, Outbreak, Red Lobster, Olive Garden.

  5. try subway

5 dollar! 5 dollar foot loooooooong!!!!!!

  6. Lion's Choice is healthy, and really good!  They have the best roast beef by far, and their fries are amazing, too.  They butter their buns, but you can ask for an unbuttered one, and you can request vegetable sticks [celery and carrots] instead of fries for no extra charge.

A word of advice: salads usually have a lot more calories than you think.

Also, most restaurants have nutritional information online.

    Good luck!

  7. I've noticed Wendy's seems pretty healthy.  They at least have things that aren't deep friend (salads, yogurt, chili, and wraps).

  8. Read the book Eat This, Not That and look at menshealth.com.  They have a lot of fast food choices that you should both seek and avoid.

The healthiest fast food place is Chick-Fil-A.  All of their entrees are under 500 calories, which is something that no other place can say.

Healthiest food choices is probably the Taco Bell Fresco menu.  They're all under 9 grams of fat.

  9. Fast food generally isn't healthy.... but there are somethings that are better than others.

    Chick-fil-a Chargrilled Chicken Sandwich

Taco Bell (fresco style)(substitute Fiesta Salsa for cheese and sauce)

check out the rest of this site for more... http://www.dietfacts.com/ there are things out there just not easy to find....and like i said before...still not "healthy".... (ie sodium content) but better than a double cheeseburger.

  10. subway duh!!

  11. subway or quiznos would be my first choice

also in-n-out has this thing called a lettuce burger where instead of bread its lettuce its smaller portion and heathier!

try to stay away from mcdonalds kfc burger king jack in the box and carls jr. even the "healthy things"

like salad have a lot of fat espessially the dressing!

  12. I work at McD's and have looked at the nutritional information. Honestly, the salads are within a reasonable fat/cal./sodium range, but the dressing is the killer. The caesar dressing that comes with the grilled caesar salad at McD's had 18 grams of fat in that small packet. That's a lot! You can still get a salad, but have the dressing on the side.

The person that mentioned smaller portions is absolutely correct. A hamburger is a lot healthier than a cheeseburger. You'd be amazed at how much fat is used in just one order of large french fries.

Also, don't exclude your drink. Try drinking water or diet soda.

    Sample order at McDonald's:

    Grilled Ranch Snack Wrap [1]

    Small French Fries

Apple Dippers/Fruit and Walnut Salad/Fruit and Yogurt Parfait

    Water

Don't forget though, the snack wrap that I included above also has protein in it, so it's not absolutely terrible for you to eat a Big Mac or a Double Quarter Pounder [as well], ONCE IN AWHILE.
