Hey guys/gals, I've been on a diet and doing well, but I have a question about the dinner I just had...(for future reference)

So I've eaten 5 pretty healthy meals throughout the day leading up to dinner...I finished eating a big salad (iceberg...romaine...tomato...cauliflowe... mozzarella cheese...raisins...and Italian dressing) But...I also had a small plate of Spaghetti w/ meat sauce and Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top... I didn't feel overly full but felt questioned about the meal...Feedback...

By the way...So far I've gone from weighing 308lbs to 258lbs...thnx...

  1. Grilled chicken and a baked potato (no butter)

    Just watch your proportions.

  2. First off, congratulations on your weight loss.  It sounds like you are doing really well.  Keep it up!

Your dinner actually sounded very healthy.  It is always good for dieters to eat salad before a meal.  The veggies are naturally low in calories, and they fill you up, so you are likely to eat less of the main dish.  Just be careful with the cheese and dressing-- of course it's ok to have these on your salads, just be cautious with the portions.  The best thing you can do is eat slowly.  It actually takes your body 20 minutes to feel full after you've eaten something.  Take small bites, chew thoroughly and enjoy your food.  Keep up the good work. Good luck!
