  1. fruits and veggies

    granola bars/cereal bars

    yogurt

trail mix (but try to find a kind that doesn't include something chocolatey in it, and look for ones that come in pre-portioned single serving packages so you don't overeat it)

peanut butter on an apple (just be careful not to eat TOO much PB, keep it to one tablespoon or so)

    pretzels

    whole-grain crackers and lowfat cheese

also I know these things can get boring and sometimes you just want to indulge in some favorites (icecream, chips) but you can still do this in a healthier way by buying baked chips and getting things like the 100 calorie icecream sandwiches.

  2. -nuts (not too many though because they can be fattening)

-raisins or other dried fruit (no added sugar)

    -small amount of low-fat cheese

    -fruits

    -veggies (low-fat or no dip)

  3. Laughing cow cheese sticks with some celery.

A small hand full of raw almonds, ( you can do roasted but raw is better for you )

Strawberries, any berry really, they are high in antioxidants.

baby carrots ( cause they are peeled and easy)

Crunchy colorful fruits and veggies! the more color the more rich in all the vitamins and minerals you need, plus high in fiber to suck up all the junk and make you fuller.

Turkey slices with a pickle or with a cheese stick.

Raw Spinach leaf wrapped around turkey slices

Cottage Cheese, low calorie Low Sugar Yogurts.

  4. FRUIT AND CEREAL BARS.

  5. A good one is nuts and fruit if you don't have nut allergies.  I like raw almonds, with peanuts and raw pumpkin seeds.  I mix them together in a freezer bag and add a little sea salt.  Shake the bag.  Then add dates pieces and raisins (no sugar added).  I buy the nuts and fruit from the bulk section of my health food store (Whole Foods or Vitamin Cottage or whatever your local health food grocer happens to be).

Another snack I like is raw veggies.  I cut them up and put them in small containers in the fridge, so when I want to reach for a snack, there they are.  I like whole carrots, peeled and cut, raw green bell peppers (these are loaded with Vitamin C for avoiding wrinkles), and radishes and cucumbers.  They key is, make in advance so they are ready when you want that snack.

Here is a link to a blog I wrote with the recipe for the trail mix: http://buzz.prevention.com/community/sha...

  6. caramel apples.
