  1. Ask Jerrod! Call or go to subway and they will tell you of all the healthy subs! Don't ask friends because they all put a different spin on what they think is healthy. Jerrod is the spokesman for healthy subs.

  2. Any of the sandwiches with 6 grams of fat ot less is a good choice, minus cheese and mayo. Keep in mind those are for their 6 inch sandwiches, footlongs on that menu will be double everything, but still fairly healthy.

  3. stick with wheat bread, stay away from fatty meats like ham, capicola, salami and such. steer clear of mayo. load up on veggies and steer clear of the tuna i just read a book that says it is practically more mayo than tuna. you should get a six inch too not a twelve. eat roast beef and turkey they are both high in protien and will keep you feeling fuller longer.

  4. Since we discovered my son has an ulcer, we also discovered there is nothing in Subway he can safely eat.

All the meats come pre-packaged (sodium, spices and preservatives).  The olives are salty.  The veggie patty is pre-fried.  He can't drink soda or anything with acid.  No onions, peppers, mayo, mustard, salt, pepper, oil etc.

All my son can eat from there now is a small amount of wheat bread and some lettuce.  Not very appetizing...

YOU could eat the veggie sub on wheat with whatever condiments you want on it, probably.  No oil or mayo...all foods there already have salt, so you don't need any added (salt retains water in the body).  You could probably use mustard or vinegar, and eat pickles, olives, peppers, tomatoes, etc.  Just not a lot of meat or cheese if this is for health or weight purposes.

If you want to cut down on carbs, they will put the makings of any sandwich into a salad.

  5. I would say the wheat bread with chicken terayaki.  It is so good too.

  6. Wheat Bread.  Try only eatting the 6" Sub instead of 12".  Veggie, Turkey, Chicken.

  7. I used to work at Subway during Jared's famous weight loss.  He ate plain turkey or veggie on wheat 6 inch with no mayo, no mustard, no s/p/o/v.  Just the meat, bread, and veggies.  Instead of cookies, opt for the new fresh cut apple slices and instead of soda, go for the milk or water.  The cookies, chips, and soda are unnecessary sugar and calories.  I've seen how much sugar is in soda and it's disgusting!  I've stopped since then.

  8. If you want the lowest heart rate possible, get thicker breads and more cheeze, root beer is often times sweeter than most of the Subway menu so don't under-eat either or you may find empty calories make you feel a cut above a coffee drinker. Thank you for addressing a very serious thing like that stuff we call food and growling tummies.

  9. Veggie Delight. Wheat Bread. No cheese, No Mayo or oil.

Anything else you'd like in it.

That is the healthiest Choice of sub @ Subway.

Pair it off with delicious Dasani water.

  10. Healthy subway?  Only in commercials!

Subway uses processed and preserved deli meat loaded with salt and preservatives.  They do not have any "real" cheese-- it is all a processed cheese product [such as Kraft singles].  Though the bread is cooked on site, it comes frozen, ready to cook, and full of preservatives.

A "healthy" subway sub would consist of only vegetables, with no bread, mayo, sauce, or cheese.  Kind of like a salad.

  11. any of the "6 grams or less" subs w/o mayo or cheese.

these are clearly listed on the board and on those tacky napkins they have.

turkey, roast beef, ham, club, teriyaki, and something else I can't remember. I think all the breads are probably around the same calories, but wheat is probably best for you b/c of the fiber and whole grains.

    Yuck.

    I hate subway.
