Healthy easy to make salads without...?

I've been trying to find some healthy salads to make at home while my mom is working, but they ALL have to have tomato or onion or both in it, and those two are always like the main vegetables. Well here's the problem, I HATE both of them. So could someone tell me some good, healthy salad recipes WITHOUT tomatoes or onions ?? =)

  1. I really like adding fruit to salads, here's a few combos I like:

    strawberries and pecans

    blueberries almonds and those crunchy asian noodles

    mandarin oranges, coconut and pineapple

    dried cranberries and kalamata olives

    mangoes and spicy peppers

    grapes, walnuts and apples


  2. Artichoke hearts, kalamata olives, mozz, lemon juice and evoo.

    Diced watermelon, canteloupe, chopped mint, lemon juice.

    Shredded cabbage, sliced apples, cranberries, orange juice and safflower oil.

    Bean sprouts, water chestnuts, criminis, lime juice and peanut oil.

    Garbanzo beans, corn, green beans, sherry vinaigrette.

    Jicama, bell peppers, radishes, rice wine vinegar and avocado oil.

    u have to pay some thing friend; tomatoes and onions are essential...

  4. You can always just make your own salad with whatever vegetables you like, and can always leave out the onions and tomatoes.

  5. try cucumber, carrots, you could even try putting drie fruits in it. chicken. anything! listen to your own taste budds.

  6. There is nothjing saying you have to add the tomatoes and onions. I also don;t like tomato, and onions so I just don't put them in.

    Here are some other ideas:

    King Crab Louie:

    Fake Crab Meat

    Hardboiled egg sliced

    Cheese-shredded

    Homemade 1,000 island dressing with a tiny bit of horseradish added in.

    For the 1,000 mix kethcup and mayo until the "right" color pink. Add chopped pickles or relish, a dash of pickle juice and a little seasoned salt. Mix and and serve

    BLTC salad with out the T:

    Still warm chicken strips

    Bacon

    Shredded Cheese

    Dressing of choice

    Or just add in random stuff such as:

    Chicken strips

    Cucumber

    Avacado

    Bell pepper strips

    Alfalfa sprouts

    Thinly sliced radishes

    Bacon

    Turkey

    Ham

    Hard Boiled Eggs

    Sliced Olives

    Pepperoncinins if you like that sort of thing

    Shredded carrots

    Sunflower seeds

    Croutons

    Peas

    Fake Crab Meat

    Sliced Mushrooms

    This list goes on and on......................

  7. The definition of a salad is veggies in a bowl with some dressing.  If you dont like tomatoes or onions... dont use me.  My favorite salad: Lettus, mushroom, carrots, celery, ham, cheese... basically anything in the fridge... cut it up, throw it in a bowl... add dressing.  YAY its a salad!

  8. you can just have any salad but i think you should add those mozzarella balls for just a little more taste and just something else to add into it! (:

  9. Healthy salad recipe:

    Carrot-Apple Salad (6 servings)

    Ingredients:

    1 cup shredded carrot

    3 medium Golden Delicious or Gala apples, unpared and diced

    1 tablespoon lemon juice

    1/2 cup raisins

    1/3 cup cholesterol free, reduced calorie mayonnaise

    salad greens for 6 servings

    Directions:

    Combine all ingredients except salad greens. Chill thoroughly. Serve on salad greens.
