what r ways to tell u have a happy and healthy turtle :) and who likes turtles????

A happy healthy turtle will have a large tank, very clean water, good food choices, correct heat and light.  They have owners that do lots of research on them so they receive the best care possible!

Turtles want three things to be healthy and happy...

1. Good water. Plenty of water (figure 10 gallons of water per inch of shell length), that is kept very clean with a BIG filter and warmed to about 75-80F

2. Good food. For most turtles, a mix of about 1/2 good pellets and 1/2 live or frozen/thawed fish foods, like worms,insects, snails, small fish, shrimp, krill, beef heart, etc.

3. Good sun. This is not high on the Mud or Musk Turtle list, however, the tank should be well-lit while allowing shadows, hiding places, etc.

I love turtles. If they are happy and healthy then they will have an equal time of swimming and basking and will be very curious and want to explore a lot.

I LOVE turtles... & a Healthy & Happy one- is one that shows an interest in exploring his surroundings, has a varied diet & healthy appitite, and lives long enough to see its Owners- grandchildren!  :)

A healthy turtle will eat good, have clear eyes and nose.

A happy turtle will explore its pens, let you feed it by hand.

I adore turtles & tortoise. I have taken in many rescues and rehomes.

The turtle stays active and moves around quite often.

and the bottom of the shell stays a nice yellow color, not a nasty yellow.

I have 4 red ear slider hatchlings, and they're the best. I love my turtles, they're awesome, as most people would never think that turtles could be good company, but they really are. As long as they have enough room, and they can swim as well as bask, they're usually happy. But make sure u dont over feed ur turtle because turtles are beggers, and if u feed them too much they'll get too fat and ou grow their shell, then ofcourse they'll die. So be careful!
