Question:

Healthy vegetarian meal plan?

i am fifteen and need a nutrious meal plan that i can work from b/c i often think "oh when was the last time i actually had some protein"...."a month ago"....ekk :P

i like soy sausages bt they aren't very healthy

this is my average day

breakfast: granola, yoghurt and berries on top. 7 am

snack: celery and carrots 10:30 am

lunch: mandarin, hommus wrap and soy milk - 1 pm

dinner: tofu stir fry with noodles and a salad 7 pm

desert :sometimes banana or apple sauce or fruit salad. 7:30 pm

i sleep around 10/10:30

is eating at 7pm too late?

is this alright

is tofu/tempeh okay to have every other night

or should i eat it more often/less often?

  1. Beans are very rich in proteins, especially lentils. Also add more whole grains and nuts to your diet.  If you are vegetarian but not vegan, then have some dairy products.

  3. well from what ive heard..eating at 7 is bad since you dont burn it off..you sleep with a full stomach..its better to eat as early as you can so you can burn it off later and then focus on healthy snacks. You eat so good though! Im working to have a good meal plan like yourself..I am a terrible cook and i have a bagel--maybe a bean burrito or some veggies--tofu and me dont mix to well--noodles? never did(pasta yea)--carrots and celary=yum! i just need a good vegan dip recipe :(. Fruit salad is always good. Your doing fine.

  4. Most of the things you mention have protein.  You should have more grains though..whole grains and add beans or nuts to your diet.
