  1. Sound is a longitudinal wave that vibrates the particles of its medium along its pathway. It causes the ear drum to vibrate which causes the 3 tiny bones in he ear to vibrate which causes the tiny hairs in the cochlea to vibrate and the sensation is passed to the brain by the auditory nerve.

  2. Sound travels in the form of vibrations. These vibrations hit the ear pinna and enters through the auditory canal. Then,it hits the eardrum which will vibrate and transmit the vibrations to the osicles. The osicles will amplify the vibrations about 22 times and sends them to the auditory nerve. The nerve impulses are sent to the brain and are interpreted. Therefore, you hear them as sound.(ps:this information is from my biology class and if it is wrong don't blame me but blame my biology teacher)Anyway, i am sure my answer is very accurate...

  3. Vibrations in the air particles from the object emitting the sound in a wave form to our ears.

  4. ive got a theory the sounds are all already stored somewhere, and certain vibrations trigger them

  5. Sound is vibrations in air. The eardrum vibrates in response to sound, and this is picked up by the ossicles (three small bones in the middle ear). They transfer the vibrations to the cochlear canal, where they are again transferred to the auditory nerve. This links to the brain and the brain processes the sound so we can hear and recognise it.

  6. vibrates.. through sound waves..
