  1. no but if they are attacked they can break off and grow a new one.


  2. I hadn't heard that one.  The male octopus has a specialized arm that stores the sperm and transfers it to the female.  

    The male octopus dies a few months after mating and the female dies shortly after the eggs hatch. (bummer eh?)
